Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that the operations took place on April 5. The raids targeted two separate premises located in Taman Ipoh and Bandar Baru Medan Ipoh.
During the operation, 87 patrons aged between 19 and 52 tested positive for drugs. This group consisted of 59 men and 28 women.
Among those screened were a police officer and two policemen. While the officer based in Perak tested negative, the two policemen—a corporal aged 26 and a lance corporal aged 40—returned positive results.
Police Personnel Involved
The two policemen who tested positive are attached to units in Johor. The corporal tested positive for ketamine, while the lance corporal tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, and ketamine.
Hussein emphasized that the department maintains a strict stance on illegal substance use. “This action shows we do not compromise on any offences, including those involving police personnel,” he said.
