Iraq is the second largest importer of Iranian non-oil goods

/ On Monday, the Iranian Customs Authority announced its statistics for the export of non-oil goods during the past eight months, from March to November 2023.

The Customs Authority stated, according to the Fars News Agency, that non-oil exports amounted to 90.044 million tons, with a value of 32.243 billion in the eight months.

She pointed out that “the main export commodities during the aforementioned period included liquefied natural gas worth $2.387 billion, liquefied propane worth $2.089 billion, methanol $1.505 billion, tar $1.476 billion, and liquefied butane $1.416 billion.”

She explained that China topped the importing countries with $9.158 billion in the main markets to which Iranian goods flowed, followed by Iraq with $6.023 billion, the UAE with $4.162 billion, Turkey with $3.028 billion, and India with $1.466 billion.

She continued, “The five markets imported a total of 67.596 million tons of Iranian goods worth $23.837 billion, accounting for 70% and 73% of the total volume and price of exports, respectively.”
