Jacinta, a resident of The Glebe House, Ballycastle, County Mayo, has died following what her family described as a brave battle with illness. The announcement confirmed she passed away recently, leaving the local community and her family in mourning.
Jacinta endured a “brutal battle” with her condition, which she bore with significant bravery. She is predeceased by her father, John, who passed away in 2021.
She is survived by her mother, Kathleen, and her siblings Dolores, Esther, Frances, Emer, and Sean. She will also be deeply missed by her goddaughter Ella, as well as Tara, Ryan, Kate, Ruby, Leon, Kitty, Harry, Fionn, Kevin, and her wide circle of friends and neighbours.
Funeral Arrangements
Remains will repose at Lynn’s Funeral Home in Killala on Sunday, December 7, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled to take place at St. Brigid’s Church, Ballycastle, on Monday, December 8, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow immediately afterwards in the local cemetery.
The family has requested family flowers only. Those wishing to offer support may make donations to the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA).
