John Finnegan, formerly of Ballybeg, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo and Burnage, Manchester, England, has passed away. He was a resident of Clonberne, Co. Galway at the time of his death.
Obituary
Mr. Finnegan is predeceased by his son Sean, parents Michael and Mary, sister Ann Flynn, and brother Pat Finnegan.
He is deeply missed by his wife Patricia, children Gerard and Fiona, brothers Mick and Tom, sister Catherine, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Reposing will take place at Clonberne Community Centre, Clonberne, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on Friday, February 20th, 2026, from 5pm until 7pm.
Removal will occur from the family home on Saturday to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm, followed by burial in Clonberne Cemetery.

Family flowers only are requested. Donations, if desired, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
The family requests privacy at this time; the house is private.
