A CRPF officer, Biplab Biswas, won Rs 1 crore on the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 but ultimately quit the show before attempting the Rs 7 crore question. Biswas, currently stationed in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, correctly answered the Rs 1 crore question in a matter of seconds.

The episode began with Biswas, a rollover contestant, poised to answer the Rs 7 crore question. Host Amitabh Bachchan praised Biswas for using his winnings to support the education of four girls.
The Rs 7 crore question asked: “Playing more than half a century before India’s famed spin quartet, who among these was not part of South Africa’s spin quartet in cricket?” Biswas decided to quit the game, stating he didn’t want to risk losing the Rs 1 crore he had already won.
Bachchan encouraged Biswas to take a guess, and he selected Option D) Gordon White, which proved to be incorrect. The correct answer was Option C) Jimmy Sinclair.
Biswas took home a prize of Rs 1 crore and a new car.
The episode also featured the cast of the film Ikkis, including Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simran Bhatia, and director Sriram Raghavan.
Swiftly Answering the Rs 1 Crore Question
In the previous episode, Biswas swiftly answered the Rs 1 crore question: “What was the name of the ship that transported the Statue Of Liberty from France to the United States?” He immediately responded with Option D) Isere, and also knew the name of the ship’s steersman.
Before the quiz began, Biswas spoke emotionally about the challenges and sacrifices faced by security forces serving in dense jungle regions, deeply moving Amitabh Bachchan.
