Kazakhstan and Latvia are working to strengthen parliamentary ties and deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and economics, according to a meeting held Thursday between Ambassador Dauren Karipov and Latvian State Secretary Linda Liepiņa.
Kazakhstan-Latvia Cooperation Discussed
Ambassador Karipov briefed Liepiņa on the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-Latvian cooperation, including a schedule of planned joint events for the year. He specifically highlighted the importance of strengthening connections between the legislative bodies of both countries.
Liepiņa confirmed Latvia’s interest in expanding the relationship, with a focus on increased trade and economic collaboration. She also emphasized the need to invigorate the interparliamentary relationship between Kazakhstan and Latvia.
In other diplomatic news, the Ambassadors of the U.S. and Bulgaria recently presented their credentials to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
