IDF Strikes Iranian Targets
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Tuesday morning that the Air Force struck regime infrastructure in the cities of Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz. The strikes targeted headquarters of various security bodies, including intelligence agencies, internal security forces, and the Basij forces.
IDF officials reported that sites storing ballistic missiles, launchers, drones, and air defense systems were also attacked.
Gholamreza Soleimani, the commander of the Basij – a paramilitary militia affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards that has played a central role in suppressing domestic protests – was killed in a strike in Tehran, the IDF said.
IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir stated Tuesday morning that the IDF is continuing its offensive against Iranian targets, and that “significant preventive achievements were recorded overnight, with potential to influence operational outcomes and the IDF missions.”
