/ French press reports revealed that Kylian Mbappé, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, does not mind renewing his contract with the Parisian club, which expires at the end of the current season.
The French newspaper “L’Equipe” reported that Mbappe and the Paris administration currently have a friendly and good relationship, and the two parties do not rule out the possibility of renewing the contract, which expires in June 2024.
The newspaper added, “It is unlikely that the player and his club will begin any negotiations to renew the contract before the first quarter of the new year.”
It was also revealed that the management of the Parisian club has great confidence that whatever Mbappe’s final decision regarding renewal or not, the financial agreement between Nasser Al-Khelaifi, club president, and Kylian last August protects “PSG” from the idea of his departure for free or without financial compensation.
The newspaper pointed out that the future of Kylian Mbappé (24 years old) within the Parisian club remains an exciting issue, and Paris officials avoid talking about it publicly, in light of the player’s refusal to activate the extension clause for a third season until 2025.
L’Equipe concluded its report by saying that Mbappé’s mysterious future also raises the curiosity of those affiliated with Spanish club Real Madrid.
