/ Fox News channel reported that Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, faces a 17-year prison sentence on new charges, including tax evasion worth $1.4 million.
The channel said: “According to the Ministry of Justice, the penalty, if convicted, may reach 17 years in prison.”
Judicial documents indicate that Hunter Biden faces charges in 9 cases of tax evasion between 2016 and 2020.
Hunter Baden, 53 years old, faced charges of not paying taxes worth more than $100,000 in 2017 and 2018, and he agreed at that time to make a deal with the investigation, but the court did not approve it.
Hunter Biden is the first son of a current US president to be tried. In the first case, Hunter Biden, while purchasing a gun in 2018, provided incorrect information, denying that he used drugs.
Taking into account all the charges against him, he today faces a prison sentence of up to 25 years and a fine of $750,000, while a prison sentence in such cases is not usually imposed on first-time offenders.
