The National Guard will conduct training exercises in Bauska municipality and Vecumnieki and Memele parishes from February 28th to March 1st, focusing on maintaining and improving combat capabilities.
National Guard Training in Bauska Municipality
The National Guard’s 1st Riga Brigade will be conducting training within Bauska municipality during the specified dates. Residents may observe troops moving in and around the district as part of the exercises.
In Vecumnieki parish, the National Guard’s Student Infantry Battalion will focus on maintaining and improving its combat capabilities. Simultaneously, the National Guard’s 53rd Infantry Battalion will improve field combat skills in Memele parish.
Training tasks will be carried out during both daylight and darkness to strengthen the National Guard’s ability to perform national defence tasks in various conditions. The exercises will involve field combat skills training in forested areas and individual skill improvement for various tasks.
