Nauryz Holiday: President Leads Kazakhstan Celebrations

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended a program showcasing the nation’s historical and cultural legacy and inspected national sports competitions during a working visit to the Turkistan region.

Cultural Showcase and Sporting Events

The thematic program featured works by masters of ceramics and woodworking, as well as examples of sewing, jewelry art, and leather goods. The display highlighted the richness and diversity of Kazakhstan’s national traditions.

Tokayev also inspected venues hosting national sports competitions, including demonstrations of qazaq kuresi (Kazakh traditional wrestling), weightlifting, arm wrestling, asyk atu, arkan tartu, togyz kumalak, langi tebu, and koshkar keteru.

The President’s visit to the Turkistan region also included a visit to the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi.
