/ Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed that a return to fighting in the Gaza Strip is inevitable after the return of all Israeli prisoners.

He said in a speech today, Wednesday, “It is impossible not to return to fighting until the end,” indicating that this is his policy, behind which the entire Council of Ministers, the government, and the soldiers of the people – as he put it – stand.

Netanyahu added that since the beginning of the war, three goals have been set: eliminating Hamas, the return of all kidnapped Israelis, and ensuring that Gaza will not again pose a threat to Israel, stressing that these three goals still exist.

He also said, “Last week we achieved a very great achievement, which is the return of dozens of abductees.”

These statements come on the seventh day of the temporary truce between Israel and Hamas, where the latter is expected to release a new batch of prisoners it has held since the seventh of last October.

An Israeli source confirmed that a sixth batch of detainees, including 10 Israelis and two Russians, will be released later on Wednesday.

The Palestinian factions, especially Hamas, have detained approximately 240 Israelis, including Israeli soldiers and officers, as well as foreigners, since the surprise attack they launched on October 7th on Israeli settlements and military bases around the Gaza Strip.

While the truce agreement, which came after weeks of Egyptian, Qatari and American mediation, has so far led to the release of about 180 Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons, in exchange for the release of 66 Israeli women and children as well, in addition to a number of foreigners.
