A person was injured after a house fire in Mairehau, Christchurch, early this morning.
Christchurch House Fire Injures One
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) crews responded to the blaze on Kellys Rd just before 5 a.m., arriving to find the house well alight.
Four fire crews from Christchurch City Station, Redwood, and Anzac attended the incident. As of this morning, three crews remain on site working to fully extinguish and dampen the fire, according to FENZ.
One person sustained injuries as a result of the fire.
A fire investigator is responding to the scene to determine the cause of the blaze. Police and St John ambulance are also in attendance.
