Pakistan and Indonesia held delegation-level talks in Islamabad, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and other key areas. The discussions focused on enhancing economic ties and addressing regional issues, including the situation in Kashmir.

Pakistan, Indonesia Discuss Trade and Kashmir

Indonesian investment minister Bahlil Lahadalia met with Pakistani officials for “comprehensive” talks, signaling Indonesia’s readiness to collaborate with Pakistan in palm oil and agriculture. Both countries reaffirmed trade and investment as key pillars of their relationship.

Pakistan stressed its historic ties with Indonesia and urged a focus on resolving the Kashmir dispute. The talks also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Indonesia expressed its willingness to collaborate with Pakistan in various sectors, including agriculture and palm oil. The meeting aimed to explore new avenues for economic cooperation and strengthen existing partnerships.

Officials from both nations highlighted the importance of enhanced connectivity and people-to-people exchanges to further solidify the bilateral relationship.
