Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will open the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of Central and Regional Governments, hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Bogor Regency, West Java, on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Prabowo to Address Regional Leaders

In addition to officially opening the event at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), President Prabowo will provide guidance to regional heads and present an evaluation of the government’s performance in 2025. He will also outline strategies for improved performance in 2026, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The forum is intended to strengthen synergy between the central and regional governments, offering guidance to regional heads, elements of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and other stakeholders. The initiative aims to support the implementation of the President’s priority programs toward the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045.

“To accelerate the success of the President’s priority programs to realize food and energy sovereignty, as well as a productive and inclusive economy by achieving the 8 percent economic growth target,” stated Benni Irwan, Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs Information Center.

Regional heads and the Forkopimda are considered crucial in achieving the President’s program targets, serving as the primary drivers of governance, community empowerment, and regional development. The Rakornas is designed to foster a common understanding and strengthen coordination between central and regional policy measures.

Ministry to Present Cabinet Members as Speakers

The Ministry of Home Affairs will feature members of the Red and White Cabinet – including coordinating ministers, ministers, and heads of state institutions – as speakers in thematic sessions. Discussions will cover topics such as synergy between economic and energy policies, sustainable food sovereignty, and other strategic issues. Members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) will also participate.

Approximately 4,487 participants are expected to attend, including leaders of ministries/institutions, governors, regents, mayors, leaders of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), and members of the Forkopimda from across Indonesia.

Traffic Anticipation and Arrangements

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto has urged the public to anticipate potential traffic congestion around the SICC due to the national coordination meeting. The government has apologized for potential disruptions and requested that residents adjust their travel plans.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, in coordination with the Bogor Regency Government and relevant authorities, has prepared traffic arrangements to ensure smooth public mobility. Joint security personnel from the police, TNI, Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), and Transportation Agency (Dishub) will be deployed to regulate traffic and minimize congestion.
