Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Seoul, South Korea, at 7:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, beginning an official state visit.
President Subianto Begins State Visit to South Korea
President Prabowo and his delegation traveled to Seoul Air Base aboard the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft. Upon arrival, he was honored with a guard of honor and a 21-gun salute.
South Korean Minister of Climate, Energy, and Environment Kim Sungwhan, South Korean Ambassador-designate to Indonesia Yoon Soongu, and Chief of State Protocol Kim Tae-jin greeted the President. Representing Indonesia were Ambassador to South Korea Cecep Herawan and Indonesian Defense Attaché in Seoul, Colonel Muhammad Arif.
During his visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to attend an official welcoming ceremony hosted by the President of the Republic of Korea.
The visit aims to strengthen the friendship and strategic partnerships between Indonesia and South Korea, and to foster wider opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Prior to arriving in Seoul, President Prabowo departed from Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, at 5:15 p.m. local time, concluding a series of official visits that included a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and a state call with Emperor Naruhito.
