Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur, Latur ZP & Panchayat Samiti Election Result Live Counting Update

Vote counting began Monday morning in Maharashtra for elections to 12 Zilla Parishads and 125 Panchayat Samitis, with a voter turnout of 68.28 percent recorded on Sunday.

A total of 7,438 candidates contested 731 Zilla Parishad and 1,462 Panchayat Samiti seats. Over 2 crore eligible voters participated in the elections, comprising 1,06,33,269 men, 1,01,86,965 women, and 468 voters from other categories.

Parbhani registered the highest voter turnout at 74.89 percent, followed by Kolhapur at 74.45 percent and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at 72.69 percent. Ratnagiri recorded the lowest turnout at 55.79 percent.

Around 1.28 lakh personnel were deployed across 25,471 polling stations for election duty. The elections were originally scheduled for February 5 but were postponed following the death of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and the subsequent period of state mourning.

During polling in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate allegedly attempted to vandalize a booth set up by a BJP-backed rival in the Wadgaon Kolhati area, suspecting distribution of money. Police reported no injuries and no formal complaint was lodged, and polling continued without further disruption.

District-wise results are being reported for Pune, Kolhapur, Raigad, Satara, Sangali, Ratnagiri, Solapur, Sindhudurga, and Latur.
