PUV drivers outside the National Capital Region (NCR) will begin receiving cash and fuel subsidies starting April 6, according to government announcements. Over 200,000 drivers in NCR have already been approved to receive financial aid this week, with the provincial rollout commencing after the Holy Week.

Cash and Fuel Subsidies for PUV Drivers

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has set an urgent deadline for applications for the fuel subsidy. Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna has expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the cash aid intended for the transport sector.

The initial payout will prioritize drivers outside of NCR beginning on April 6. The provincial distribution of assistance will follow in the second week of April.

The LTFRB is currently processing applications for the fuel subsidy, urging eligible drivers to submit their requirements promptly.
