The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results for the April 2026 Registered Electrical Engineers and Registered Master Electricians Licensure Examinations, announcing a total of 4,262 new professionals across both categories.
- Electrical Engineers: 3,769 passed out of 6,556 examinees.
- Master Electricians: 493 passed out of 882 examinees.
- Registration: Online registration for IDs and certificates begins June 15, 2026.
The examinations were administered by the Board of Electrical Engineering, composed of Chairman Engr. Adelino V. Garcia Jr., Engr. Jaime V. Mendoza, and Engr. Alex C. Cabugao. The tests were conducted across multiple regions, including NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
Top Performers and Institutions
John Veluz Labrador from the University of the Philippines-Diliman secured the top spot in the Registered Electrical Engineers exam with a rating of 94.25%. Other top performers included Carl Aeron Rodriguez Gallardo (93.70%) and Wilson Egmilan Binamira Jr. (93.50%).
The University of the Philippines-Los BaΓ±os emerged as the top-performing school for Electrical Engineers, achieving a 98.15% passing rate with 53 out of 54 examinees passing. It was followed by the University of Batangas (94.81%) and Pangasinan State University-Urdaneta (94.12%).
In the Registered Master Electricians licensure exam, Adrian Buenaobra Baconawa of Southern Luzon State University-Lucban placed first with a rating of 89.00%. The Technological University of the Philippines-Manila was the sole top-performing school in this category with a passing rate of 95.24%.
Registration Requirements
Successful examinees may begin their initial registration for the Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration on June 15, 2026, via www.prc.gov.ph.
Applicants are required to provide a downloaded and accomplished Oath Form (Panunumpa ng Propesyonal), a notice of admission for identification, two passport-sized colored photos with a white background and name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope.
The PRC stated that successful candidates must personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals. Details regarding the date and venue for the official oathtaking ceremony will be announced at a later date.
