In the wake of his passing, the bereaved family extended their sincere appreciation to the medical professionals who oversaw his treatment. “The Hanley family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and all the staff of Ward 3D at University Hospital Limerick, for the care, support and compassion shown to Robert in his final journey.” In lieu of floral tributes at the services, the family has requested that any donations be directed toward the Milford Care Centre.
Funeral Mass at St. John’s Cathedral and Shannon Crematorium Service Details
The schedule for the upcoming services offers multiple opportunities for mourners to attend. Reposing will take place at Cross’s Funeral Home, located on Lower Gerald Griffin Street, on Tuesday, September 29th, from 5 pm to 6.30 pm. On Wednesday, September 30th, the funeral procession will arrive at St. John’s Cathedral on Cathedral Place for a Requiem Mass beginning at 1 pm. Following the mass, the funeral will proceed to Shannon Crematorium for a service scheduled at 3 pm.
For those unable to attend in person, online broadcasting options have been arranged by the funeral directors. The Requiem Mass at St. John’s Cathedral will be streamed live online. Similarly, the Cremation Service at Shannon Crematorium will be broadcast live starting at 2:55 pm, accessible using the password CCH3.
