Mumbai’s Fine Arts Centre hosted the opening of the 21st Ryan International Children’s Festival (RICF) on Friday, bringing together students from 15 countries and thousands from Ryan Group of Schools. The festival coincides with the unveiling of the Ryan Group’s commemorative 50 Years logo, marking the start of its Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Ryan International Children’s Festival Kicks Off

The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Patrick Duffy, Consul General of Ireland, and featured performances from the young participants. Dr. Grace Pinto, Managing Director of the Ryan Group, emphasized the festival’s role in fostering global citizenship through creativity and connection, stating, “Festivals like this show that learning goes beyond books. By performing, creating, and connecting, children grow into confident, compassionate global citizens.”

Now in its 21st year, the RICF is one of India’s largest student cultural diplomacy platforms. Over the next week, participants will take part in international performances, workshops, and the Global Carnival — a two-day celebration of culture and creativity.

Mr. Ryan Pinto, CEO of the Ryan Group, highlighted the importance of preparing students for a globally interconnected world, saying, “Today’s learners grow up in a world where ideas, culture, and opportunity move seamlessly across borders. Geography matters far less than mindset. At Ryan, we give students a first-hand experience of the world they will grow into, preparing them to thrive in it.”
