Mount Semeru Eruption Updates
Mount Semeru erupted again on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, continuing a pattern of increased activity. Previous eruptions were also recorded on Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, and Saturday, March 7, 2026.
The latest Volcanic Ash Advisory (VAA) was issued at 15/2230Z and reported volcanic ash extending to Flight Level 170 (FL170). The last report was at 15/1840Z EST.
The volcano is currently at Alert Level.
