Karachi residents now have access to a new electric bus route connecting Gulshan-e-Maymar to Tower, launched Tuesday by the Sindh government. The service aims to provide affordable and environmentally friendly transportation to residents of Surjani Town and surrounding areas.
New Electric Bus Route Launched in Karachi
Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the launch of the electric bus service, stating it will benefit hundreds of thousands of people.
The new route will improve access to the city center for those living in Gulshan-e-Maymar, Surjani Town, and nearby communities. Memon emphasized the service will offer modern, comfortable, and affordable transportation to citizens.
According to the minister, the Sindh government is actively working to provide quality and environmentally friendly public transport options. The electric buses are equipped with modern facilities and are designed to be eco-friendly.
Memon stated that the provincial government is committed to providing world-class transport services. Further expansion of the electric bus network is planned, as improving public transportation remains a key priority for Karachi.
