Stability in gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil

/ The prices of “foreign and Iraqi” gold stabilized in the local markets in the capital, Baghdad, and in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, today, Tuesday (November 28, 2023).

Agency correspondent said, “Gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one 21-carat mithqal of Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 440 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 436 thousand dinars.”

Our correspondent noted, “The selling price of one 21-carat Iraqi gold mithqal was recorded at 410,000 dinars, and the purchase price reached 406,000.”

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, our correspondent stated that “the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 440,000 and 450,000 dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranged between 410,000 and 420,000 dinars.”

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold was recorded at 510 thousand dinars, 22 karat was sold at 470 thousand dinars, 21 karat was sold at 450 thousand dinars, and 18 karat was sold at 390 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
