Sydney CBD and Eastern suburbs travel advice

Motorists and public transport users should expect disruptions in the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs between Sunday, February 8, and Thursday, February 12, due to a planned police operation. Authorities are urging people to defer non-essential travel in and around the city center on Monday afternoon.

Road Closures and Transport Delays

Road closures will be in effect throughout the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs during the operation. Transport operations may change with short notice, and traffic and transport delays are expected, particularly on Monday afternoon.

Special event clearways will also be in effect across the city and at various local council locations. Drivers are advised to check signage carefully before parking to avoid towing.

Bus Route Disruptions

Several bus routes will be affected by the road closures. Signage will be in place at closed bus stops to indicate diversions.

From 12pm midday Sunday, February 8, until 2pm Thursday, February 12, buses that usually run to and from Circular Quay will start and end trips at Martin Place. Passengers can use light rail or trains to travel between Martin Place and Circular Quay during this time. Affected routes include 304, 333, 343, 392N and 396. Buses to the city will end at Elizabeth St Stand C at Martin Place, while those leaving the city will start from Elizabeth St, Stand E.

Bondi Beach: Route 333 and 380 will divert around closures in Bondi Beach on Monday, February 9, from 9:30am to 11:30am. Stops on Campbell Pde will be missed between north and south Bondi.

Queens Park: Route 356 will miss some stops along Queens Park Rd on Tuesday, February 10, from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Passengers are encouraged to plan their trip at transportnsw.info or via the Opal Travel App or other trip planning apps.
