System of a Down and Faith No More Announce 2027 Australia and New Zealand Tour

Following a week of cryptic murals in Sydney and Melbourne and light projections in Brisbane, System of a Down and Faith No More have confirmed a massive stadium run across two countries. For System of a Down, this represents their first Australian appearance since 2012, when they played the now-defunct Soundwave Festival.

While System of a Down has not released a studio album since 2005, their commercial gravity remains immense. In that year alone, they became the first band since Led Zeppelin in 1970 to land two No. 1 studio albums in a single calendar year with Mezmerize and Hypnotize.

The 2027 Stadium Schedule and Ticket Access

Tickets are being handled through TEG Live, with a staggered general sale starting July 31. Fans can access the shows through a series of presales: mailing-list subscribers on July 28 and a PayPal First Access presale on July 29.

The New Zealand leg is a one-off event at Hnry Stadium on Sunday, February 7. The show falls over Waitangi weekend and has the backing of the Government’s events attraction package. Faith No More’s Return from Hiatus

For Faith No More, this tour marks their first Australian performances since 2015.

The path to this reunion began in June, when the band teased “2027” on social media. Bassist Bill Gould later confirmed a reunion was in the works, stating, Yeah, we’re gonna do it. We’re gonna play.
