The Newroz team achieved an important victory over its counterpart, Al-Naft, by three goals to one in a match that took place between them at Sulaymaniyah Stadium for the 11th round of the Iraq Stars League professional football competitions for the current season (2023-2024).
The correspondent of the (INA) stated, “The player Ibrahim Tumiwa scored first for the Newroz team in the 29th minute, and the player Okeke Afolabi equalized for Al-Naft in the 38th minute, then Sifan Omar added the second goal for Newroz in the 41st minute.” Before Ibrahim Tumewa concluded Newroz’s goals in the 55th minute.
He added, “In another match, the Zakho team defeated Al-Karkh with one goal to none, which came from player Patrick Marcelino in the 17th minute of the match.”
