The President of the Iraqi Football Federation, Adnan Darjal, confirmed that his federation was not the reason for delaying the announcement of the list of the national team that will participate in the Asian Championship in Qatar, indicating that the ceiling of ambition is high in reaching the furthest extent in the tournament.
Darjal told the (INA), today, Monday: “The technical staff has not decided on the final list for the national team of the Emirates Association, with which the coach will enter the Asian Cup competitions in Qatar,” indicating that the federation was not a reason for delaying the selection of the list, and within the next 72 hours, it will be decided. Darjal added, “The ceiling of ambition is high, but we have to be realistic and logical that the tournament is strong and the participating teams are distinguished, and there are even teams that have begun to outperform European teams,” pointing out that “our team combines experience and youth, and there are players who were invited to the national team for the first time, and it is our duty to support them.” Strongly during this stage.”
