Three people are dead and one is hospitalized in serious but stable condition following a shooting in Lake Cargelligo, New South Wales, Australia, police say. The incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. local time, and authorities are currently searching for the gunman.

Emergency services responded to reports of the shooting on Walker Street near Yelkin Street, according to a police statement. More information is available on the NSW Police website.
The victims include two women and one man. Authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected domestic violence attack.
Heavily armed tactical police have been deployed as they attempt to locate the gunman, who reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle owned by the local council. Residents have been advised to avoid the area and remain indoors.
Lake Cargelligo is a small town with a population of approximately 1,500 people, located in central New South Wales. The shooting comes less than a month after a mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, which resulted in 15 deaths.
