Indian Air Force Aircraft Crash in Prayagraj
According to preliminary reports, the aircraft involved was a microlight plane. The aircraft went down while in flight.
This is the second aviation incident reported in India this month. On January 10, a nine-seater aircraft made a forced crash landing near Rourkela airport after a technical issue was detected mid-flight.
The IndiaOne Air Cessna Grand Caravan, operating flight IOA-102 from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela, declared a “Mayday” and executed a belly landing. All six occupants – four passengers and two crew members – survived, though one pilot sustained injuries.
The aircraft suffered minor damage to the fuselage, while its wings remained intact. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has stated that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau will conduct a detailed probe into the Rourkela incident.
