A draft voter list has been published in West Bengal as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, covering over 7.66 crore voters. More than 58 lakh names have been removed from the list due to various reasons, including absence, shifting, death, and duplication.
West Bengal Voter List Update
The first phase of the SIR process in West Bengal included 7 crore 66 lakh 37 thousand 529 voters. Of these, 7 crore 8 lakh 16 thousand 616 voters have had their Enumeration Forms digitised, representing 92.4 percent of the total.
A total of 31 lakh 38 thousand 374 voters have not been mapped to the 2002 voter lists and will be called for a hearing, which began today and will continue until February 7, 2026.
Individuals whose names are not on the draft voter rolls can submit Form 6 to the relevant Block Level Officer (BLO) or through the voters.eci.gov.in website or the ECINET app.
The draft list is accessible on the voters.eci.gov.in website, the ECINET app, the Election Commission and CEO West Bengal websites, as well as at the offices of the Block Development Officer (BDO), Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), District Magistrate (DM), local government offices, and district websites.
The final electoral rolls for West Bengal are scheduled to be published on February 14, 2026.
