Following the discovery of the remains, authorities conducted laboratory testing to determine the identity of the deceased. The husband of the missing real estate agent provided a DNA sample to assist with the identification process; however, officials announced that the results were negative, effectively ruling out any connection between the remains found in Kypseli and the missing Yu Ting.
