While the official occasion is the passing of Senator Lindsay Graham, the underlying objective for both Zelensky and Netanyahu is a direct line to Donald Trump. According to the BBC’s North America editor Sarah Smith, these separate meetings at the White House will focus on the distinct but equally volatile conflicts currently involving Ukraine and Iran, noting that the late senator had a remarkable influence on the two conflicts.

Netanyahu’s Congressional Record and Regional Escalation

Benjamin Netanyahu’s presence in Washington follows a pattern of high-profile legislative outreach. He has addressed a joint session of Congress an unprecedented fourth time, a feat that exceeds the three addresses given by Winston Churchill during his tenure in 1941, 1943, and 1952, as reported by Middle East Eye.
