Three suspects have been arrested in Mzinto, KwaZulu-Natal, for possession of drugs valued at R1.6-million. The arrests were made following the apprehension of a main suspect on Friday and subsequent investigations.
Drug Bust on KwaZulu-Natal South Coast
The primary suspect, a foreign national from West Africa, was found with crystal meth and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be from illegal activities.
Police investigations then led them to the suspect’s girlfriend’s residence, where she was found in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and crystal meth.
A third suspect, a foreign national from a central African country, was also taken into custody after being found with approximately 5,000 heroin capsules and nearly 800kg of heroin powder.
Authorities continue to investigate the matter.
