By introducing an electric vehicle that is inexpensive in absolute terms, Audi aims to capture a new segment of the market. According to official company information, the vehicle will start at 38,200 euros in Germany. While the manufacturer has confirmed this German pricing, the final cost for the Hungarian market remains unknown at this time.

The A2 e-tron is positioned to replace the Audi Q2 and A1 models. These vehicles were phased out earlier this year, and the A2 e-tron is slated to fill the resulting gap in the company’s portfolio starting in 2027. Despite the anticipated lower entry price, the vehicle is being developed to maintain the premium standards expected of the brand.

Although the A2 e-tron is more affordable than previous electric offerings from the manufacturer, it is not being developed as a compromise model. This modular architecture allows for efficient packaging; the ID.3 Neo, for instance, measures 4.27 meters in length and boasts a 2.77-meter wheelbase. The A2 e-tron is designed to serve as a modern tribute to its predecessor, with its exterior appearance closely echoing the original A2 silhouette.
