Hostage survivors Matan Tzangauker and Ilana Gritzewsky are engaged, their families announced this week. The couple was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip on October 7 and subsequently released in separate hostage deals with Hamas.
Matan Tzangauker and Ilana Gritzewsky’s Engagement
Matan’s mother, Einav Tzangauker, shared the news on her X account, posting a picture of the couple raising their glasses. She captioned the image: “My victory picture 🩵 Ilana & Matan.”
Matan was freed from Hamas captivity in the latest hostage deal in October, while Ilana was released in the first hostage deal in November 2023. Following her release, Ilana actively campaigned for Matan’s freedom.
