Karachi Building Fire Contained

Police reported that the fire, located near Karachi’s Saddar area, was contained through timely action. Sindh Rescue 1122 dispatched fire and rescue teams, an ambulance, and a fire brigade truck after receiving a report from its Central Command and Control.

According to City Senior Superintendent of Police Arif Aziz, the fire originated on the third floor of a three-story building. Nearby shops were immediately closed as a precaution.

This incident is the latest in a series of fires to affect Karachi, following blazes at Gul Plaza, the Electronics Market, and the Landhi Industrial Processing Zone.

Last month’s fire at Gul Plaza resulted in 79 fatalities, with several individuals still reported missing. Authorities sealed the plaza following the rescue operation.
