Cape Town International Airport is continuing recovery efforts following a fire that occurred Tuesday morning. Airline check-in systems are operational, with the exception of Lift Airlines, which is currently processing passengers manually.
Cape Town Airport Fire Disrupts Operations
The fire, which broke out on the landside of the airport, was quickly extinguished and resulted in no reported injuries.
The incident impacted network and IT services, but power and most airport systems have since been restored.
According to the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), all airline check-in systems are functioning normally except for Lift Airlines.
