HIMARS Maintenance Hub Opens in Estonia | NATO Boost

Lockheed Martin will invest ten million euros to establish a service center for HIMARS rocket artillery systems in Estonia, serving the Baltic states.

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur announced that Lockheed Martin plans to establish the service center within the next two years. The center will provide maintenance for military equipment used by Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, reducing the need to send equipment abroad for servicing.

Representatives from Lockheed Martin are scheduled to visit Estonia in the near future. The agreement was signed on March 18th between Pevkur and Lockheed Martin Vice President Paula J. Hartley. Pevkur stated the investment demonstrates reliability and a commitment to long-term cooperation.

The service center will allow Estonia to maintain and upgrade its HIMARS systems locally. It will also facilitate technology and knowledge exchange and create subcontracting opportunities for local businesses.

Additional contracts with Lockheed Martin are currently under discussion, with the Estonian Defense Minister noting a desire for company investment alongside purchases. Estonia received six HIMARS rocket artillery systems in April 2025, and the systems are also utilized by the armies of Latvia and Lithuania. Lithuania also recently announced that Lockheed Martin will open a branch in their country.
