Manufacturing Defect in the Power Steering Pump O-Ring Seal
Reports confirm that a manufacturing defect can cause the power steering pump O-ring seal to sustain damage, which subsequently allows hydraulic fluid to leak from the system.
Due to a manufacturing defect, the power steering pump O-ring seal may have been damaged allowing fluid to leak. If this occurs, drivers could experience significantly increased steering effort, potentially stripping them of proper directional control resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
