Honor has quietly expanded its lineup with the debut of the Honor X7e Plus 5G in select global markets, bringing significant hardware bumps over its predecessor that launched back in May. While many modern handsets prioritize razor-thin chassis over staying power, this new release leans heavily into utility, headlined by a battery capacity that outclasses almost the entire mainstream market.
Battery Capacity and Charging Performance on the Honor X7e Plus
The standout feature of the new handset is its enormous power source. Honor packed an 8,100mAh battery under the hood, delivering 600mAh more capacity than the standard Honor X7e. Despite the gargantuan cell, charging speeds remain capped at 45W wired fast charging, meaning users will need to budget a bit more time at the wall outlet to achieve a full charge on such a massive capacity.
Display Specifications and Processor Architecture
Up front, the device houses a sprawling 6.87-inch HD+ TFT LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1,592 pixels. According to regional retail specifications, the screen features an 85 percent NTSC colour gamut alongside a fluid 120Hz refresh rate. It is touted to reach up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness in High Brightness Mode, backed by Eye Comfort and Dynamic Dimming technologies.
Powering the smartphone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset paired with an Adreno 613 GPU. The hardware configuration supports up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. On the software side, the handset ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Rugged Durability and Advanced Ingress Protection
Durability is another major focus for this release. Honor equipped the device with full IP68, IP69, and IP69K ingress protection, safeguarding the phone against high-temperature pressure jets, dust, and deep water immersion. To round out the rugged build, the manufacturer highlights a tested 2.5-meter drop resistance, making it considerably tougher than typical everyday carry devices.
Optics, Connectivity, and Built-In Artificial Intelligence
When it comes to cameras, the handset retains the core setup of its predecessor. It features a 50-megapixel primary rear shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, working alongside an f/3.0 auxiliary lens. A matching 50-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
The device also incorporates a dedicated side button designed to let users instantly launch commands and apps with a single press, alongside a suite of smart tools. Users get access to the full Honor AI suite, which includes AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI Image to Video 2.0, AI Eraser, AI Recorder, AI Summary, and Magic Portal.
Pricing and Regional Availability Across Global Markets
The smartphone is offered in three distinct colour options: Velvet Black, Meteor Silver, and Desert Gold.
- In the United Arab Emirates, the base configuration starts at AED 899 ($245).
- In Qatar retail stores, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant carries a price tag of QAR 999 (approximately Rs. 26,000), while the larger 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model retails for QAR 1,099 (approximately Rs. 29,000).
Connectivity options onboard include dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. Security and physical sensors include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a compass, a gravity sensor, and a proximity sensor. The physical chassis measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.30mm and tips the scales at 216.5 grams.
