Chinese toy company Pop Mart International has opened a new flagship store on Singapore’s Sentosa Island, featuring the debut of Southeast Asia’s first Pop Bakery at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). Located directly opposite Universal Studios Singapore at 26 Sentosa Gateway, the new destination brings together retail shopping and themed character dining.
Pop Mart Opens Sentosa Flagship and Southeast Asia’s First Pop Bakery
The establishment is housed in a duplex within RWS’ lifestyle destination Weave, sitting next to French patisserie Pierre Herme Singapore. The ground level is dedicated to the Pop Mart retail store, while the second floor hosts the 40-seat Pop Bakery. This RWS outlet marks the second stand-alone Pop Bakery in the world, following an initial location in Aranya, China, which succeeded the concept’s debut at Beijing’s Pop Land theme park.
Menu Offerings and Character-Themed Desserts
The bakery features a variety of character-inspired sweet treats and beverages. Among the complex offerings are two coconut-shaped desserts priced at $18 each, which are topped with chocolate shaped like the character Twinkle Twinkle. These include the Twinkle Twinkle Tangy Coconut Mousse—filled with creamy coconut, tangy pineapple filling, and popping passion fruit boba—and the Twinkle Twinkle Sweet Coconut Mousse, which features a rich coconut mousse and red bean filling topped with boba.

Other items on the menu include the Molly Double Cheesecake priced at $20, combining New York-style cheesecake, mascarpone, and popping candy. Specialty beverages are available for $12, featuring options such as Pandan Pop, Yuzu Buddy, and Twinkle Twinkle Mango Sago topped with milk foam. Coffee offerings start at $5 for an espresso, while the $8 latte provides a choice of latte art featuring popular Pop Mart characters including Labubu, Molly, Dimoo, and Twinkle Twinkle. Additionally, visitors can purchase Labubu Butter Cookies priced at $32 in a keepsake tin, offered in original, chocolate, and Singapore-exclusive coconut flavours.
Meet-and-Greets and Operational Details
Diners can participate in character meet-and-greet sessions with Twinkle Twinkle from Thursdays to Mondays. These sessions run during three one-hour periods: 2pm to 3pm, 4pm to 5pm, and 6pm to 7pm. To qualify for the character interactions, each person is required to spend a minimum of $40, and each table must meet a minimum spend of $80 in a single transaction.
Resorts World Sentosa chief executive The Straits Times stated that the RWS culinary team worked closely with Pop Mart to bring the bakery experience to life. As the first concept of its kind in the region, it brings together exclusive collectables, themed dining experiences and character interactions under one roof, adding a fresh new dimension to our destination,
Lee said.
The bakery operates with specific hours: from 11am to 9.30pm on Mondays through Thursdays, and from 10am to 9.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Global Expansion Context
The launch on Sentosa Island forms part of Pop Mart’s broader international expansion efforts amid softer domestic sales in China and normalising demand following a strong intellectual property cycle. Jeff Zhang, a senior equity analyst for Morningstar, noted that the Sentosa duplex represents a future retail format for the brand, with analysts expecting additional overseas duplex openings to support top-line growth in underpenetrated markets such as North America and Europe.
