Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show Launch and Pricing

Kia Sales Indonesia officially launched the second-generation Kia Seltos during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at ICE BSD in Tangerang. Arriving about seven months after its global debut in December, the vehicle enters the local market with three distinct trim levels designed to target different buyer segments.

Pricing for the entry-level Trendy variant starts at 359 million rupiah, roughly equivalent to RM81k. Mid-tier buyers can opt for the Prestige+ ADAS priced at 417 million rupiah (about RM94k), while the range-topping GT Line commands 469 million rupiah (about RM106k).

Platform Dimensions and Opposites United Exterior Styling

Built on the Advanced K3 Platform, the latest Seltos is noticeably larger than its predecessor. The vehicle measures 4,460 mm long, 1,830 mm wide, stands between 1,630 and 1,635 mm tall, and features a 2,690 mm wheelbase. Exterior design follows Kia’s Opposites United and World Class Design philosophy, incorporating a boxy stance, a wide grille housing the Digital Tiger Face, Star Map signature lighting, and streamline flush door handles that sit flush against the body.

Exterior color options span six choices, featuring Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Ivory Silver Gloss, and Glacier White Pearl, alongside two new additions: Morning Haze and Magma Red. Wheel sizes and lighting configurations scale by trim, with the base Trendy utilizing 17-inch Crystal Cut alloy wheels with multi-reflector LED headlamps, while the GT Line steps up to 18-inch Sporty Crystal Cut wheels, LED projector headlamps, front LED fog lamps, and a panoramic sunroof.

Smartstream Powertrain and Interior Technology Suites

Under the bonnet, all three variants rely on a Gamma II naturally-aspirated inline-four petrol engine with DOHC, Dual CVVT, and 1.5 litres of displacement. The Euro 4-compliant Smartstream mill pairs with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), delivering 115 PS at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Drivers can tailor performance via a Drive Mode Select system offering Eco, Normal, and Sport settings.

Inside the cabin, higher trims feature a Panoramic Dual Display integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a matching central infotainment touchscreen. Comfort amenities include auto climate control, electric leather seats, ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) levels have also been suppressed to create a quieter cabin environment.

Advanced Safety Systems and Local Warranty Provisions

Safety equipment is anchored by six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a reinforced body shell derived from the K3 architecture. The Prestige+ ADAS and GT Line tiers integrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), bringing features such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go, forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping and following assist, blind spot collision avoidance, and a surround-view monitor paired with a blind-spot view camera that displays footage in the instrument cluster.
