Actor Yeon Jung-hoon appeared as a guest on episode 5 of the MBN and Channel S variety program ‘Moo No Plan4’ (also referred to as ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 4’), which aired at 9:10 p.m. on Friday the 31st. Alongside hosts Jun Hyun-moo and Kwaktube (Kwak Joon-bin), Yeon shared candid details about his early marriage to actress Han Ga-in, his parenting experiences, and his daily routine.

During the broadcast, Jun Hyun-moo directly asked Yeon, Why did you get married so quickly?
Yeon and Han first met through the 2003 drama ‘Yellow Handkerchief’ and married in 2005 when Yeon was 28 years old and Han was 24 years old. Han previously explained their early marriage on another variety program by stating, As Yeon Jung-hoon was about to enlist in the military, my parents-in-law wanted us to marry quickly. In reality, we didn’t know what would happen two years later.
Candid Insights Into Marriage and Parenting
Yeon also shared minor, lighthearted complaints about his household routine. He revealed that his golf frequency had been reduced by his wife, explaining, I go golfing four times a year. It used to be six times, but suddenly it became four this year.
He added that Han justifies the reduction by telling him, You’re busy and you have to look after the kids.

Reflecting on Past Dreams and Career Paths
Before discussing his current family life, Yeon talked about his younger years and how he entered the entertainment industry. Jun Hyun-moo noted that Yeon once dreamed of becoming a car designer. Yeon explained that he had always loved cars and only got into acting by following a friend to an acting academy in Yeouido run by his father, where he was subsequently cast by an entertainment agency despite his father’s strong opposition.
When Kwaktube asked how Yeon would react if his own children expressed a desire to pursue acting, Yeon answered immediately that his wife is strictly against it. Furthermore, Yeon shared that his dedication to his family extends to unexpected personal hobbies, revealing that he began studying vintage wine seriously simply for his daughter’s birthday.
The couple, who married in May 2005, welcomed their first daughter 11 years after marriage and gave birth to their second child, a son, in 2019.
