Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi stars in Orijinal, an upcoming time-travel thriller announced by its makers on August 1, 2026. Written and directed by Ramees and backed by MAZ Media alongside Ziku Films, the feature weaves together elements of fantasy, comedy, and suspense while interrogating the fundamental definition of authenticity.
The motion picture kicked off its promotional rollout with an innovative digital launch that left cinema-goers pondering the question, Is it Original or Orijinal?
according to regional reporting. Producers followed up by releasing the project’s official first-look poster, which presents Sreenath Bhasi in a striking pose with his arms spread wide and his head lowered beneath two large clock faces.
The Premise and Promotional Campaign Behind ORIJINAL
The newly unveiled promotional materials hint at a chronological narrative that triggers unforeseen developments. The poster carries a provocative tagline: time travel crowned the wrong guy, providing audiences with an early clue about the film’s tone. When unveiling the promotional art, the makers shared an accompanying caption noting that when a time traveller moves a chair, original suddenly becomes orijinal.
Industry observers have suggested that the plot may involve the multiverse or feature Sreenath Bhasi in dual roles. The project blends fantasy, comedy, suspense, and sentiment, examining how minor chronological disruptions can alter fundamental realities.
