Four people were killed and four others injured during a shooting near Sevastopol in Russian-occupied Crimea on August 4, 2026. The Moscow-installed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvojaïev, addressed the public via Telegram and social media channels following the violence. He confirmed that the perpetrator was apprehended by security forces, though the suspect’s identity, nationality, and exact motives remained unclear in the immediate aftermath of the attack.

Emergency services rushed to the scene to secure the area and treat the wounded. Razvojaïev stated regarding the condition of the injured survivors that they were receiving emergency medical care and that doctors were doing everything possible to save them, noting that medical professionals were working tirelessly to save their lives.

Mikhaïl Razvojaïev, local governor, stated that emergency services, investigators, and crime experts were currently at work on the scene.

Following the tragedy, local authorities urged residents to stay calm and rely solely on official updates rather than unverified rumors while investigators continue sorting through the circumstances of the shooting.
