AirAsia is reducing service on several international routes originating in Malaysia during the second quarter of 2026. The changes, as of April 3, 2026, affect flights to destinations across Asia.
AirAsia Route Reductions from Kuala Lumpur
Service between Kuala Lumpur and Ahmedabad will decrease from seven to five weekly flights between June 1 and June 30, 2026. Flights between Kuala Lumpur and Amritsar will be reduced from seven to four weekly flights from April 8 to June 30, 2026.
The airline will also reduce Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Seri Begawan service from 10 to 7 weekly flights between May 1 and June 30, 2026. Kuala Lumpur to Colombo flights will decrease from two to one daily flight from April 22 to June 30, 2026.
Four weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kozhikode and four weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Lucknow have been cancelled, effective May 7, 2026. Kuala Lumpur to Makassar service will be reduced from 10 to 7 weekly flights between May 1 and June 30, 2026.
Further reductions include Kuala Lumpur to Thiruvananthapuram, decreasing from seven to four weekly flights between May 1 and June 30, 2026, and Kuala Lumpur to Tiruchchirappalli, decreasing from three to two daily flights between May 1 and June 30, 2026.
Kuching Route Adjustment
Flights between Kuching and Pontianak will decrease from two to one daily flight between April 16 and June 30, 2026.
