/ The Iraqi freestyle wrestling club championship for the youth category was concluded in the capital, Baghdad, on Friday, with Al-Diwan Club crowned first place.
Rahim Odeh, media director of the Wrestling Federation, told Agency, “More than 15 clubs participated in the tournament, the results of which resulted in the Al-Diwan Club team being crowned champion of the Iraqi freestyle wrestling clubs, collecting 210 points, followed in second place by the Al-Adhamiya Club team with 176 points, then the Zakho Club team in third place.” With a score of 90 points.
He added, “The championship fights took place in the Wrestling Federation hall in the People’s Complex in Baghdad and witnessed the participation of a large number of wrestlers from Baghdad clubs and the Iraqi provinces who represented various clubs in Iraq.”
Al-Diwan Club snatched the title of the Iraqi Clubs Championship for Freestyle Wrestling for Juniors, which was organized by the Central Iraqi Wrestling Federation, with 220 points, followed by Al-Adhamiya Club in second place with 170 points, then Al-Sulaikh Club in third place with 136 points.
In the Iraqi club championship for freestyle wrestling for Al-Baraem, Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi won the championship title with 169 points, Al-Sulaikh Club came in second place with 165 points, and Al-Adhamiya Club came in third after collecting 133 points.
