/ The Baghdad Municipality Wrestling Club’s advanced wrestling team was crowned, on Monday, the title of the Iraqi Club Championship, which concluded in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of 12 Iraqi clubs.
The head of the Iraqi Wrestling Federation, Shaalan Abdel Kazem, told Agency that the tournament witnessed strong competition between club wrestlers and some players were able to prove their presence in the competitions.
He added that the results of the tournament resulted in Amanat Baghdad being crowned first place in teams with 195 points, while the police and popular mobilization teams came in second place in teams after being tied on points with 183 points each, while Al-Adhamiya Club won third place in teams and collected 118 points.
Abdul Kazem stated that the Federation decided to start the Romanian wrestling competitions next week in the capital, Baghdad, in the Federation Hall at the International People’s Complex.
Al-Diwan Club snatched the title of the Iraqi Clubs Championship for Freestyle Wrestling for Juniors, which was organized by the Iraqi Wrestling Federation, with 220 points, followed by Al-Adhamiya Club in second place with 170 points, then Al-Sulaikh Club in third place with 136 points.
