Azerbaijan and Indonesia discussed potential healthcare cooperation during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, and incoming Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Berlian Helmy.
Azerbaijan-Indonesia Healthcare Collaboration
Minister Musayev highlighted the strong and growing relationship between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, noting successful partnerships in various sectors, including healthcare. He also referenced meetings between President Ilham Aliyev and the Indonesian President in Davos and Sharm El-Sheikh as contributing factors to strengthening bilateral ties.
Musayev briefed Ambassador Helmy on ongoing reforms to modernize Azerbaijan’s healthcare system, including the construction of new medical facilities and the introduction of advanced medical technologies.
Ambassador Helmy emphasized the friendly relationship between the two nations and expressed Indonesia’s willingness to share its expertise in public health. He stated his commitment to deepening healthcare cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.
The officials discussed expanding collaboration in areas such as medical education, healthcare system management, public health initiatives, the pharmaceutical industry, medical technologies, and the exchange of professional expertise.
